Here is the Knight of the Octagon table that says we are starting this legacy as required by the rules. Huge empty lot with minimal funds. This should be fun.
These are Frost's humble beginnings. I learned from my 10 Gen, 10 Kids Each Gen challenge that a fridge and counter top are musts to make the stove work so I made sure to place those on the lot this time. I prefer being able to take care of most needs at home if at all possible.
As always, Frost's first order of business is to find a job. He has the painter extraordinaire aspiration so he joined the appropriate matching career. His traits are art lover, cheerful & creative, with the muser trait being added for his creativity aspiration.
I sent him to the museum to start working on his painting skill. Minimal funds meant no easel on his lot yet, so this will have to do in the meantime.
As he was painting, he caught a glimpse of this cutie walking down the sidewalk. Her name is Dusty Pink, and despite her snooty walk style she's actually a very sweet girl. Frost ran down to meet her, eager to add a little color to his life.
Umm...guys...wanna maybe move your conversation to the sidewalk instead of standing in the middle of the street?
No? Ok then. They hit it off right away, which made me all kinds of happy.
Bahaha. He's telling her a dramatic story. I have to say I love how over the top some gestures are in this game. I love touches of realism of course, but at the end of the day it's game and it's supposed to be for fun. The over the top gestures keep that fun/game feeling. And they're hilarious to watch!
He invited her to the park where they sat and talked for quite some time. By the end of the day, they had a maxed out friendship bar. Score!
Then it was back home to tend to his needs.
Apparently cooking in the dark is the way to go. Oh well, sims gotta eat.
That night, Frost went to sleep with visions of pink dancing around in his head.
He invited Dusty over the next day to attempt to secure her as his spouse to be.
Dusty: So let me get this straight. You want me to leave my fully furnished, fully built, comfortable home and move in with you on an empty, barely furnished lot with no walls or any sort of shelter?
Frost: Um...well, when you put it that way...um.........y-yes?
Dusty: Ok! Sounds great!
...well....that was easy.
The addition of Dusty to the Colour household brought 10,000 simoleons. If I remember correctly, I thought the rules said that's technically not allowed but I don't care. I'm not good at this whole starting from the bottom thing, typically I cheat my legacy families into pre-built houses. I'm weak. Anyway, I used the money she brought in to build them a box.
Once inside, we wasted no time getting down to the romantic actions. But first, let them take a selfie.
Romantic interaction spam! Some successful flirts, a romantic embrace and a rose for his rose. Things were progressing smoothly.
Finally the time came for their first kiss. Signed, sealed and delivered. Yay <3
Boyfriend/girlfriend status achieved! Adorableness ensued. Cute little selfie and giggle fits! These two are so freaking precious.
This is a shameless excuse to show off her cute pink pj's. And her adorable peepee walk. She's kind of just adorable altogether.
I decided to have her join the culinary career. I haven't played with that one yet and she'd make quite the cute chef.
She got started right away on preparing meals while Frost was at work.
When he returned home, Frost pulled her away from the stove. There were more important matters at hand! First off, he surprised her with a passionate kiss. One of my favorite interactions!
As is his fashion, Frost wasted no time and got down on one knee.
Frost: Dusty, since the moment I saw you walking down the street by the museum, I knew that you were exactly the dash of color I needed in my life. I feel like you were placed into Oasis Springs to brighten up my world. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?
Dusty: FROST! Omgomgomg! YES!!
#Frosty <3
In true legacy fashion, the two chose to have a simple private ceremony. In their living room. While she was in her pjs. Oh well. Wedding spam!
And, again, continuing the tradition of wasting no time, they immediately tried for some bbs. As you can see, they were TOTALLY against that idea. They didn't wanna do it at all. Nope.
Toilet confetti = successful woohoo! Baby #1 is coming!
Frost was excited to hear the news!
We were finally able to buy Frost an easel. The light on the wall next to him is his first promotion reward!
Second trimester pink baby bump <3 Also, yay wallpaper and carpet!
Dusty passes a lot of time waiting for baby in front of the TV.
Autonomous kissies! Dusty does this every time she's home when he comes home from work, she sure misses him when he's gone!
He loves feeling his baby move in mom's tummy. She's reached her third trimester, so baby Colour will be here any time now!
Speak of the devil...baby time!
In true sims fashion, Dusty passed the time with a nap while Frost ran around the house in a panic. In his underwear. Bahaha.
Dusty made her way to the nursery to welcome their little one into the world.
And baby #1 is a boy! Everyone welcome Cotton Colour!
Oh look! Baby #2 is also a boy! That's right, folks, Frosty's first pregnancy resulted in twins! This little fella is Alabaster Colour! Say hi, everyone!
So we leave off today with the birth of twin boys for the Colour family! Tune in next time to see if Frost and Dusty have anymore babies, see how the twins age up and find out why this legacy quickly becomes the bane of my existence. Until next time, happy simming!
